IT’S TIME TO REBUILD THE CAPITOLA WHARF
Background
The community of Capitola is gearing up to rebuild and enhance the Capitola Wharf after a tumultuous start to 2023. Winter storms caused significant damage to our beloved landmark, but don’t worry—plans are underway to bring the Wharf back better than ever. YOU CAN HELP!
Capitola Wharf Enhancement Project (CWEP)
We are volunteer community members raising private donations to enhance the City of Capitola’s Wharf Resiliency and Public Access Project, slated to begin in fall 2023. The City’s project is designed to make the Wharf more resistant to future storms and now includes necessary storm repairs. CWEP welcomes this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to add upgraded amenities for greater enjoyment. If all goes to plan, the Wharf will reopen in time for the summer of 2024.
