– Grease was the highest grossing film of 1978 and is the highest grossing live-action musical of all time.
– According to Stockard Channing (Rizzo), her hickeys in the movie were real, applied by Jeff Conaway (Kenickie) himself.
– Thanks to a broken zipper, Olivia Newton-John had to be sewn into the pants she was wearing during the carnival scene.
– Although the film is set in high school, most of the lead actors were way beyond high school age. Stockard Channing, 33, was the oldest.
– The memorable ‘You’re the One That I Want’ sequence was filmed in just one afternoon.
