Capitola Beach Twilight Concert – Everyday People

August 23, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

(Latin Rock)

Everyday People is a dynamic and energetic 10-piece band from Salinas, CA specializing in the Classic Latin Rock sound.

Influenced by Santana, Gloria Estefan, Malo, El Chicano, Poncho Sanchez, Azteca, Earth, Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Kool & The Gang, Los Kumbia Kings and many other great artists who have come before us, this talented group is equally versatile in Latin Jazz, R&B, Old School, Funk, Tejano Style Cumbias and more, from covers of Evelyn Champagne King to Buena Vista Social Club and Lydia Pense & Cold Blood, from youthful energy to seasoned chops.

Everyday People was formed in January, 2015 by veteran Timbalero Andy Sierra with a vision of bringing together a combination of talented, positive people, great music, and having a good time. Using this synergy, Everyday People appeals to a wide variety of music lovers and dancers. The real flavor of the band comes from good people just doing what they love to do – play music!

Everyday People features two outstanding lead vocalists, a versatile percussion-driven rhythm section, and a highly polished 3-man horn section, with some of Monterey Bay’s top-notch, seasoned players.

The reward of a smile and people on the dance floor is the essence of Everyday People. We present a very professional, energetic, and fun performance that appeals to a diverse group of onlookers, toe-tappers, music lovers and dancers. Everyday People incorporates a perfect blend of musical genres, professional musicianship and stage presence into a dynamic and engaging performance guaranteed to grab any crowd’s attention and keep them dancing!

The music starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23rd, and takes place at the Esplanade bandstand.
