Papiba Godinho is a Brazilian guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as the founder of one of Santa Cruz’s most beloved local bands, SambaDá. For over 30 years, he has been performing throughout the Bay Area and beyond, sharing his original music alongside interpretations of iconic Brazilian artists such as Djavan, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Gilberto Gil. In addition to his musical career, Papiba is a capoeira mestre and runs a Brazilian cultural center in Santa Cruz, California. He will be bringing his vibrant sound to Cocoa Vino.
